This report considers the points raised during the public consultation period which began on 24th February for a period of 21 days for proposals to extend the hours of operation for the central and zone 1 controlled areas together with proposals to introduce pay and display on Pultney Road and no waiting at anytime on Daniel Mews

The Cabinet Member agrees that:

1. The proposed extension to hours in relation to central and Zone 1 be modified to Monday to Saturday 8am to 7pm;

2. The proposal in relation to Pultney Road and Daniel Mews proceed as advertised.

Extending the hours of operation to 7pm Monday to Saturday will allow residents some ability to park their vehicles closer to home, yet not impact on the evening economy. It is planned to advertise the reduced tariffs in Avon and Charlotte Street, this information may allow visitors to choose this option when visiting the city during the evening.

It maybe possible in the future to revisit the implementation of permit parking on Sundays when the extension of the park and ride sites is completed and they operate on Sundays
