NOTE OF CLARIFICATION Decision E2749 – Keynsham High Street TRO - Further Explanation
The decision made in respect of the above traffic regulation order is explained here in a little more detail so that the context is clear. This information follows a request from ward members for clarification.
The TRO already agreed principally affects a loading bay and two zebra crossings in the area of Bath Hill and Temple St. Keynsham. The detail is set out in the TRO report that has already been published. The context relating to various courtesy crossings and future plans for a crossing on Rock Road is also referred to in the report.
A traffic study is being completed over the next few weeks to see if a light controlled crossing on Temple St. can be achieved. Subject to the outcome of this study, there will be a future decision with the objective being to locate this extra crossing on Temple St. just to the North of the junction with Rock Road. If this can be achieved the previously agreed zebra crossing on Temple St. will either not be implemented or varied. The rest of the TRO decision is unaffected by the study and can be implemented immediately which means delays to works scheduled to be completed in April can be avoided. | |
