AMENDMENT TO SCHEME OF OFFICER DELEGATIONS The Scheme of Officer Delegations settles authority on named officer posts to make certain decisions within clear parameters. The Leader of the Council has the authority to agree amendments to the Scheme. Details of the Council’s Scheme of Delegations can be seen in the Constitution at: http://democracy.bathnes.gov.uk/ecsddisplay.aspx?name=sd187&id=187&rpid=5093004&sch=doc&cat=12941&path=12941. | |
Details of the delegated authority being settled: Delegated authority is granted to the Divisional Director (Environmental Services) to convert a footway to a cycle track for shared use (sections 66(4) and 65(1) of the Highways Act 1990. The Environmental Services scheme of delegation has been amended to reflect this. Rationale: There is currently no delegated authority to officers to advertise and make a Cycle Track Order for shared use, although the obvious parallel exists for the making of a Traffic Regulation Order. |
