Proposed new build development on Land to the rear of 89-123 Englishcombe Lane, Bath - a social rented supported housing scheme consisting of 16.no homes composed of 1, 2 and 3 bed accommodation. The proposal forms part of the B&NES Homes Programme. The land is owned by B&NES and is allocated in the Local Plan for Housing. The Council has secured planning consent for the proposed development and the funding released by this decision will enable the consented scheme to be implemented.

Consultation process

Extensive consultation and engagement was carried out in the lead up to the planning application being submitted. This took the form of dedicated letter drops, community meetings, a dedicated engagement 'open event', Ward Member engagements, a dedicated consultation website, a webpage (https://www.bathnes.gov.uk/bnes-homes) and specific points of contact being made available for residents to comment/raise questions.
The outcome of consultation and engagement significantly influenced scheme design.
The planning application process included a consultation process, the outcome of which was summarised in the Planning Officers Committee Report.
