Issue details
Domestic Violence and Abuse Funding
This report updates
the Cabinet on funding arrangements for Domestic Violence and Abuse
(DVA) services from the end of 2019-20. DVA support services in
B&NES provide a comprehensive range of provision for survivors
with a small targeted service for perpetrators. Core DVA services
are currently funded from a range of sources including grants and
charitable donations. However these are mostly time limited and the
majority of this funding will come to an end in April 2020.
This places a growth pressure on budgets if we are to ensure the
continuation and sustainability of these key services. The report
sets out details of these funding issues with recommendations for
consideration by Cabinet to provide for continuity of service.
This item will be dealt with as part of the overall approach to medium term financial planning.
