Purpose:
This Events policy review seeks to promote a consistent proactive and integrated approach to the provision of support services and regulatory functions for events
Decision:
The Cabinet members agreed to approve and adopt the Events Policy 2015 and supporting appendices.
NOTE:
On 30th April 2015 Councillor Paul Crossley (Leader of the Council), Councillor David Dixon (Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods), Monitoring Officer and Section 151 Officer agreed minor textual amendments of the Events Policy.
Amendments are attached to the decision.
Reasons for the decision:
The Council is responsible for ensuring that events which occur on their land or impacts on the public highway are safe and legal.
