Decision:
The Cabinet Members agree:
(1) The creation of a local authority partnership between Bath and North East Somerset and North Somerset Councils for the provision of its Audit & Assurance functions;
(2) That the Strategic Director (Resources) is delegated authority to finalise the contract arrangements on behalf of Bath and North East Somerset Council;
Reasons for the decision:
To provide resilience and capacity within the Audit and Assurance service whilst delivering savings and new growth opportunities.
Alternative options considered:
Retention of current spate arrangements, use of existing alternative partnerships and outsourcing.
