Purpose:
To install solar panels on the Carrswood Adult
Day Care Centre roof using the Renewable Energy Development Fund
SSB. It is calculated that the roof can host approximately 149 pv
panels providing a maximum capacity rating of about 70kWp and
generation of about 61,000kwh per annum.
Decision:
To approve project set-up to the value of
£122,730 of Renewable Energy Development Fund (service
supported borrowing).
Alternative options considered:
The only alternative is doing nothing. It will
help to decarbonise the estate and help to meet the B&NES
target of 12MW installed renewable capacity on its corporate estate
by 2030. It will help reduce the operating costs of the day centre
and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
