Purpose:
To contribute £45k to a capital project
at Bath College, Wellow Centre. The project will enable Bath
College to offer places in the Wellow Centre to children and young
people with more complex needs to attend a local mainstream college
that are able to provide the specialist support they
need.
Decision:
To fully approve the capital scheme to the
value of £45k, funded by government grant.
Alternative options considered:
None. This project is part of a wider
Education Strategy to improve sufficiency and reduce rising costs
as demand for support for children with SEND increases. Bath
College is the only FE college in BANES.
