Purpose:
To adapt a classroom at Midsomer Norton
Primary School to enable them to open a resource base and offer
places to up to 10 children with special educational needs who will
attend mainstream school and receive additional support in the
resource base. The resource base is planned to support pupils with
specific learning difficulties.
Decision:
To fully approve the capital scheme to the
value of £18k, funded by government grant.
Alternative options considered:
None. This project is part of a wider
Education Strategy to improve sufficiency and reduce rising costs
as demand for support for children with SEND increases.
