Decision details
Survey Work at Entry Hill
Decision Maker: Chief Operating Officer
Decision status: Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Purpose:
A procurement exercise is underway for a new
operator for the Entry Hill Golf Course site with the dialogue
phase with bidders reaching its conclusion. As the site was
formerly a refuse tip between 1970 and 1989 a number of the bidders
have asked for clarity on the ground conditions before they take on
a long lease of the site. It is proposed to commission an initial
desk top study which will inform what ground investigation will be
necessary to provide a clear picture to any bidder. The initial
desk top study has been costed at approximately £1k, with
likely further work estimated at £15k.
Decision:
To fully approve capital amounting to
£16k from the provisional programme item Project Inception
Fund of £200k.
Alternative options considered:
Without the survey work bidders may not wish
to take on a contract and may not be able to deliver some of their
proposals.
