Purpose:
The Virtual Meetings Procedure Rules (VMPR)
are amended to correct an omission regarding councillor
participation in VMPR5, (which was correctly included in all
relevant sections in Annex 1 to the original officer decision). The
rules are also amended at VMPR 6 to include one further method for
voting at virtual meetings.
Decision:
Under Article 15.4 (b) of the Council’s
Constitution, the Monitoring Officer has amended the Virtual
Meetings Procedure Rules (VMPR), adopted on 28th April in
accordance with the Local Authorities and Police and Crime Panels
(Coronavirus) (Flexibility of Local Authority and Police and Crime
Panel Meetings) (England and Wales) Regulations 2020.
Alternative options considered:
Option 1 - leave the VMPR unamended and
potentially misleading.
