Purpose:
To outline the increase in charges for Season Tickets, Coning services and Trader permits.
Decision:
The Cabinet Member agrees that the charges for the following services are increased by 10% to;
(1) Car Park season tickets charges
a) Keynsham – £230
b) Charlotte Street Mon-Fri – £1,400
c) Charlotte Street 7 Day - £1,630
d) Manvers Street Mon-Fri - £2,040
(2) Daily trade permit charges in the outer zones - £6.60
(3) Parking suspension charges for the first day - £44
Reasons for the decision:
The charges for these services have remained unchanged since March 2013.
Car park season ticket and trade permit charges continue to offer a discount of up to 50% against the daily charge.
Suspension charges reflect the additional resources required to meet the increased customer demand for this popular service.
Alternative options considered:
To retain existing charges. This has been rejected as these proposals still provide a considerable saving to customer compared to daily use of off street car parks.
