Purpose:
To approve the content and publication of the West of England Strategic Green Infrastructure Framework. This will allow it to be taken into account as an evidence base to support the Core Strategy and other development plan documents including the emerging Green Infrastructure Strategy for the Bath & NE Somerset area
Decision:
(1) To APPROVE the West of England Strategic Green Infrastructure Framework as an evidence base that will inform the Council’s Local Development Framework and in particular the emerging Green Infrastructure Strategy for the area
Reasons for the decision:
The Framework is complementary to the Council's Green Infrastructure policy and emerging Green Infrastructure strategy. It provides a clear strategic framework enabling cross boundary working and consistency of approach. Approval and publication of the Framework will allow it to be considered and add value to the formulation and delivery of the Council’s Local Development Framework.
