Purpose:
To consider the points raised in response to the advertised TRO proposals during the 21 day advert period which began on 29th July 2010. These points are contained within the appendix to the report
Decision:
The Cabinet Member agrees that
The objections be over ruled on the basis that the authority is required, as an outcome of the recent Planning appeal, to implement changes in order to discharge the condition that “no development shall commence until the necessary measures to restrict parking at the junction of Southbourne Gardens with Claremont Road have been confirmed in writing on behalf of the LPA and no part of the development shall be occupied until the works have been implemented.”
That the scheme be modified in the light of the concerns voiced by consultees, as detailed in the report.
Reasons for the decision:
It is considered that the proposals, whilst not supported by a large number of residents would, if modified to reduce their effect, improve safety for road users in general and in particular the local residents who use this access road at present.

This is a modified version of the proposal advertised.
