Purpose:
The Bath River Line is a key strategic green
infrastructure project which aims to directly address the climate
and ecological emergency through enhancing green spaces in the
city, enabling active travel and connecting communities to their
natural environment. This PID relates to Phase 1B which includes
interventions at Comfortable Place, Norfolk Crescent, Green Park
plus wayfinding markers.
Decision:
To fully approve £179k of budget, funded
by £54k corporate supported borrowing and £125k
developers CIL
Alternative options considered:
Descoping of the scheme. This was not
considered a viable option as descoping would significantly reduce
public benefit by reducing the number of built
interventions.
