Purpose:
This sets out the recommendations of the
Advisory Board for the seventieth funding round of Bath
Neighbourhood CIL. The Leader is asked to agree the funding
allocation of £49,905 for one project.
Decision:
To approve the funding request of £49,905 for Ride to work by Bike, Transition Bath for implementation over a five-year timeframe.
The initiative aims to motivate Bath residents to transition from car commuting to using electric bikes for their daily work journeys. This shift is intended to assist both commuters and local businesses in alleviating traffic congestion, reducing carbon emissions, and improving air quality.
Reasons for the decision:
In the absence of a Parish Council for Bath, the Bath and North East Somerset Council has a statutory responsibility to allocate the local portion of CIL.
To agree the recommendations from the CIL for Bath Advisory Board relating to the seventeenth allocation of funding for one project from Bath’s“ neighbourhood portion” of the Community Infrastructure Levy.
Alternative options considered:
The CIL for Bath Advisory Board has considered three applications that requested support from the Bath CIL neighbourhood portion, one application was recommended for funding.
