Purpose:
To install solar panels on the roofs of
Haycombe Crematorium, the chapel and mess hut to reduce electricity
costs and help to decarbonise B&NES corporate estate.
Decision:
To fully approve capital budget of £60k
from the provisional capital programme for the Renewable Energy
Development Fund.
Alternative options considered:
Various options were assessed including doing
nothing, however the agreed proposals will help to decarbonise the
estate and help to meet the B&NES target of 12MW installed
renewable capacity on its corporate estate by 2030.
