Purpose:
Purpose:
The Council acquired land at Bath Riverside which together with the
development of the Midland Road waste transfer station will enable
the council to deliver circa 500 homes to meet local need via the
provision of both open market and affordable housing. An agreement
with Homes England allowed draw down of grant funding against a
pre-defined infrastructure list including: waste operational
relocation, drainage, roads and remediation works. £283k
grant funding was intended to fund costs for the waste relocation
which were funded from other sources, so approval is now being
sought to allocate a further £283k funding to Bath Western
Riverside Phase 2.
Decision:
To fully approve capital amounting to
£283k for Bath Western Riverside Phase 2 and to be funded
from grant.
Alternative options considered:
None. We need to ensure we fully use grant
funding towards delivery of new homes in Bath.
