Purpose:
The first year of the current round of ward
councillor funding ran from 01 April 2023 until 31 March
2024.
The current programme runs for three years (01 April 2023 - 31
March 2026) and Each Ward Councillor was able to commit
£1,000 to projects within their ward area.
36 projects were approved in the first year and the total amount of
funding allocated was £17,567.29.
The total fund for the first year was £59,000 therefore
£41,432.71 was carried forward for use over the remaining two
years of the programme,

All projects were submitted by Councillors and agreement was made
by David Dixon - Community Engagement Manager.
Alternative options considered:
Option 1 - Agree the funding applications if
the criteria is met.
Option 2 - Reject the application if it did not fit the
criteria.
