Purpose:
To purchase IT assets of £870k. To
provide the right technology, tools and underlying technical
infrastructure to enable Council staff to work efficiently and
flexibly from Council offices, home and other locations. This
includes ongoing provision of laptops and associated accessories,
upgrades to WiFi in selected locations, improvements in meeting
room facilities and additional provision for Adult Social Care
staff.
Decision:
To fully approve capital budget of £870K
funded from the provisional capital programme item IT Asset
Refresh.
Alternative options considered:
We could do nothing but would be unable to
improve the affordability and delivery of Council services to
residents.
