Decision details
Heritage Services Radio Replacement
Decision Maker: Director of Sustainable Communities
Decision status: Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Purpose:
The radios used by Heritage Services are
reaching the end of their life, replacement components are no long
possible to source and the repeater units need replacing. These
radios are essential to the smooth running of the visitor
attractions which Heritage Services run, enabling teams to
effectively communicate.
Decision:
To fully approve capital amounting to
£75k from the provisional capital programme item Heritage
Services Infrastructure Development
Alternative options considered:
Do nothing: This option risks equipment
failure and repairs not being possible, this would reduce the
operational effectiveness of Heritage Services. Radio communication
across the site is a key part of our day to day operation, as well
as our emergency management plan, compromising this would be an
unacceptable risk.
