Purpose:
To confirm that the proposed cycle hanger for
Sydney Mews (Site ref. 2337) referenced in the SMD E3472 (Cycle
Hangar Project - Phase 2 (WL)) will not be progressed due to
further public feedback on the location in line with the process as
identified within the SMD.
Recommendation E3472 delegates to the Director of Place Management
the ability to modify the trial details in consultation with the
member with responsibility for Climate and Sustainable
Travel.
An alternative site will be developed and proposed in line with
future tranches of delivery.
Decision:
To remove the Sydney Mews cycle hanger from
the current programme due to feedback on the location
Alternative options considered:
Do nothing – Install the cycle hanger as
proposed. This option was not supported by both Cabinet and Ward
Members
Identify, consult and install a cycle hanger in a new location
separate from the wider programme – This option was not
deliverable within the available resources.
