Purpose:
The project to create the Learning Centre and
World Heritage Centre ¬is now complete with the building in
use. Higher costs were incurred due to project prolongation caused
by the pandemic and also the need for significant structural work
to the old Victorian spa buildings. The majority of the overspend
was funded by the National Heritage Lottery Fund and
donations
Decision:
To fully approve £62K funded by
£15k National Heritage Lottery Fund grant and £47k from
the provisional budget for Heritage Services Infrastructure
Development.
Alternative options considered:
None. This is an adjustment reflecting final
costs.
