Decision details
Constitution: minor change to add links to Library
Decision Maker: Monitoring Officer
Decision status: Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Purpose:
The new Constitution was agreed at July 2022
Council, to be in operation from 2nd August 2022. As part of this
process, some documents (various schemes, codes and protocols which
were not required to be part of a Constitution) were moved out of
the Constitution itself, into the Library. It was subsequently
identified that various links needed to be made to ensure that they
were easily accessible via appropriate links from the Constitution,
so these were added. As these were considered a minor change and
not altering the content of the Constitution, the Monitoring
Officer used his delegation to approve these minor
amendments.
Decision:
The Monitoring Officer agreed minor changes to
various sections of the Constitution to link to these documents in
the Library;
- The Planning Code of Conduct
- The Licensing Good Practice guide
- The Honorary Aldermen and Alderwomen scheme
- The Freemen and Freewomen scheme
- The Local Code of Corporate Governance
Alternative options considered:
Option 1 - Leave as is which would mean the
various documents were harder to find.
Option 2 -
Option 3 -
