Purpose:
Improvement to the Top Chapel will allow for
more flexible use of the space. This project aims to create a more
customer focused environment and update this facility in line with
industry standards making Haycombe a more viable choice for the
bereft. The improvements will encourage use for community events
which will help the Council to deliver for local residents. The
refurbishment will also allow for potential income from hosting
events.
Decision:
To fully approve capital amounting to
£100k for Haycombe Cemetery Chapel Refurbishment to be funded
from Community Infrastructure Levy.
Alternative options considered:
We could decide not to proceed with the
project, however the improvements are essential to ensure equality,
diversity and inclusivity so all people feel welcome.
