Purpose:
This project is to replace the corroded
leaking roof at Carrswood Day Centre. This addresses condensation
issues and improve insulation qualities for the building which
extends its life for service provision as a day care
centre.
Decision:
To fully approve capital amounting to
£50k from the provisional capital programme item Carrswood
Day Centre of £750k.
Alternative options considered:
We are at the end of a monitoring period and
it has degraded, we could do nothing but this would result in
further accelerated deterioration of the existing roof and lead to
damage to the building fabric. The roof is not
maintainable.
