support for rising energy costs.
Decision:
The Cabinet Member agrees to introduce the Energy Rebate Discretionaryscheme asset outin thedocument EnergyRebate Discretionary Fund Policy.
Reasons for the decision:
The fundingprovided bythe Governmentfor theDiscretionary Scheme is insufficient to be able to award all residents with a rebate. The council will thereforeprioritise low-income households and households where a person receives certain disability benefits, who do not qualify for the main energy rebate scheme.
