Purpose:
The test and trace support payment scheme is
being extended and will include support for parents and carers who
have to take time off work to care for children who have been told
to self-isolate.
Decision:
The Cabinet Member agrees that the council’s policy should be updated to reflect the new eligibility criteria and the scheme shall be extended in line with Department for Health and Social Care guidance and funding.
Reasons for the decision:
The scheme will help to support the council’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic and enable residents to self-isolate by mitigating the financial impact of having to take time off work.
