Purpose:
To complete early concept planning design work
for redesign of Keynsham Civic Centre. This work is necessary to
provide a clear feasibility study and longer-term project plan.
This work is estimated to cost £50k.
Decision:
To fully approve capital amounting to
£50k from the provisional programme item Project Inception
Fund of £184k.
Alternative options considered:
Without the initial work to plan the redesign
during 2020/21 we will fall behind on work to deliver the project,
delay changes to improving IT to support agile working and reduce
opportunities to properly assess the options and reduce risks.
There will be limited colleague engagement opportunity if the
conceptual design stage is not carried out.
