Decision details

Gullock Tyning Skate Park

Decision Maker: Cabinet Single-Member Decision

Decision status: Implemented

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: Yes

Purpose:

To consider the points raised following the public advertisement of the Traffic Regulation Order and decide whether to proceed with the proposed double yellow lines on the junction of Gullock Tyning, Ham Gardens and the doctors' surgery

Decision:

The proposals should proceed as advertised on the grounds of safety

Reasons for the decision:

The proposed double yellow lines will increase the safety of

pedestrians and other road users by increasing the visibility at the

junctions onto Gullock Tyning

Alternative options considered:

The option of leaving the junctions with their current layout was considered, but was rejected. It was felt that, with the expected increase in pedestrian movements around the new skate park, the visibility out of these junctions needed improving to increase safety.
