Purpose:
The Tenancy Strategy was approved in 2012. It advocates the careful use of flexible tenancies to help meet local housing need. Housing need has been reviewed this year and minor modifications to strategic priorities are proposed.
Decision:
The Cabinet Member agrees that the proposed Tenancy Strategy 2017 – 2022 is adopted.
Reasons for the decision:
The Council is required to adopt and publish a Tenancy Strategy. The implementation of the Strategy will enable registered providers to work in partnership with the Council to improve the supply of affordable housing and better meet the housing needs of lower income and vulnerable households.
