Purpose:
The draft Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy is a high level strategic document which sets priorities for action on health and wellbeing in Bath and North East Somerset. Cabinet approved the strategy at its meeting on 10th July and full Council approved it on 14th November 2013.
Decision:
(1) To APPROVE the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy; and
(2) To NOTE that a final Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy will be submitted to Council on 14 November for approval
Reasons for the decision:
The Health and Wellbeing Board was formally appointed by Bath and North East Somerset Council on 16 May 2013. As set out in the Health and Social Care Act 2012, the Health and Wellbeing Board has a statutory responsibility to produce a Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy, based on needs identified within the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.
