Purpose:
Approval of capital projects for inclusion in the capital programme, including details of any 'technical' adjustments to projects reported for information
Decision:
(1) To APPROVE the Capital Project – Oldfield Park Junior Playing Field Compulsory Purchase Order for inclusion in the Council's 5 year Capital Programme;
(2) To APPROVE the Capital Project – Hetling Spring Borehole for inclusion in the Council's 5 year Capital Programme.
Reasons for the decision:
The two projects will contribute to the effective operation of Council Services and in doing so will help to meet the Councils Corporate Priorities.
Alternative options considered:
Oldfield Park Junior School playing fields
No other options considered – no other land is available in the required size and layout.
Hetling Spring Borehole
Do Nothing – but considered very high risk and the opportunity to proceed via Wessex is time limited.
