Purpose:
The Childcare Act 2006 requires local authorities to carry out and publish a sufficiency assessment of childcare in their area at least every 3 years
Decision:
(1) To NOTE the report; and
(2) To AGREE the recommendations and action plan set out in the report, within the resources available following publication of the 2013 assessment.
Reasons for the decision:
The Childcare Act 2006 places a statutory duty on the Council to report on and then act where “reasonable”, in addressing Childcare Sufficiency
