Document River Corridor review (2012-3)
The River Corridor Group advisory group produced the Bath Avon River Economy Report in 2011. This report evaluated the river economy and identified potential improvements and recommendations. In doing so, the report highlighted that a solution to such issues will not be found by the Council and the River Corridor Group alone. It was recognised that improvements of the river environments is a complex and long term issue. The Economic & Community Development Policy Development & Scrutiny Panel was asked to review the role of the Council, its different departments, as well as other stakeholders in addressing the issues raised in the River Corridor Group report. The panel were also asked to review how these issues could be aligned with the corporate agenda. Recommendations were taken to the Cabinet for response.
