Note	Commitments	Comment
1	PALS	The PCT supports and is nationally mandated to develop PALS.
2	Physical and Sensory Impairment	Funds have been earmarked for some time to develop an improved jointly provided service to this care group.
3	National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE)	The PCT will be required to fund prescribing and procedure recommendations of the NICE.
4	Specialised Services / Renal Services	Some services are planned on a region wide basis e.g. Bone Marrow Transplants, Renal Services. The PCT will be required to fund a relevant proportion of agreed increase in expenditure.
5	Continuing Care / Private Placements	Expenditure has historically increased significantly year on year and it is assumed this trend will continue.
