"We the undersigned wish to petition Bath & NE Somerset (B&NES) Council to consider ways to make the lower Well Rd in Bath a safer place for pedestrians to cross. The recent fatal accident involving a local man trying to cross at this point has highlighted concerns previously raised about the speed of traffic at this point. Measures we would like to see brought in could include a controlled pedestrian crossing and/or speed cameras. We understand that BU&NES Council will be conducting a pedestrian survey at this point, and we urge that a study of traffic speed also be carried out."
