Project includes two key workers. 50 referrals have been received since January 2004. The multi-agency panel meeting meets 6 weekly to review cases. The referral system is voluntary for both parents and young people. First parents were engaged in September 2004. Project work involves one to one work with child and parent on a weekly basis over a 6 month period.

Role is to deliver rapid crime and nuisance where links to problem drug use. 30 cases per year. Have used injunctions and ABC's to tackle ASB. Of the 53 cases to date, five have lost tenancies and three have voluntarily given them up.

Officer concentrates on 4 areas. In Foxhill area alone, 16 new using clients have access drug serivces and 28 young people engaged through Off the Record. Role has enabled further engagement with those vulnerable and at risk through environmental days, play events, drop-in sessions. Education is an important area, 4 drug and alcohol workshops have been delivered. Officer engaged in Single Homelessness Partnership

Both Victim Support projects will be branded under the same organisation for 2005-06. During the year 1.1.04 - 31.12.04 Victim Support dealt with 4189 victims of crime. Cimes dealt with are wide ranging including, rape, burglary, and assault and theft. There is an ever increasing number of Domestic Violence victims. Approx. 40% of referrals are personal contact. There are 35 volunteers. The service is free and confidential.

Project funds part time worker. 2 multi-agency training events and 8 specific events have been held involving health visitiors and the YOT. Parenting sessions now exist at Keynsham, Radstock and Newbridge Hill, Bath. A booklet has been produced offering help and support to parents and info on courses. Short skill based services and 4 parent courses have been implemented. 100 one to one sessions with parents. Parenting Reference Group co-ordinated through post, now underpins section of the Parenting Strategy for BANES.

Largest commissioned project supporting 6 wardens and 1 warden supervisor. Serve Bath City Centre, parts of Keynsham and Midsomer Norton. Officers provide eyes and ears for community effectively reporting incidents of graffiti, litter, ASB. Established drop in sessions for the localised community. Project co-ordianted through a multi-agency steering group.

Outreach services now hold reg. surgeries at Keynsham and Midsomer Norton. Works in partnership with various RSL's providing training to support tenants. All agreed targets have been achieved.

Officer leads and co-ordinates Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV). Strategy and Action Plan in place. Undertake 3 day multi-agency training event as well as hosting numerous lunch time seminars covering many issues of DV for practitioners. PADV is underpinned by many sub-groups including Education and Young People. A week long awareness campaign was co-ordinated through the post around the UN DV Week in November 2004, including, seminars, dance events, poetry reading to name but a few.

Taxi Marshalls operates at the Orange Grove Taxi Rank, Bath on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Response to the project has been very positive by the public, Police, taxi drivers, the press and licensees. Numerous letters and emails of appreciation have been received. Marshalls have an impact on reducing ASB, confiscating alcohol and helping to create a safer environment.

Christmas campaign held between 13th and 24th December. Involved producing a radio soundbite for GWR which was given airtime during the two week period. 4000 postcards designed to compliment the adverts were produced and given out to the public with other crime prevention material. The theme of the adverts were vehicle crime and looking after personal belongings.

A full programme of activities was funded during the school holidays. This programme was combined with Mentoring Plus and targeted those people most at risk. The programme was well attended with approximately 30 young people each day. Activities ranged from DJ Workshops to Scuba Diving and Football Fun Days.
