Minute of Council meeting 17.3.05
(1) Approves the Corporate Equality Commitment and Equal Opportunities Policy, as an interim policy to be reviewed within 12 months, and adopts it as part of the Council's Policy and Budget Framework to be brought back to full Council by March 2006.
(2) Encourages all Elected Members to participate in training on equalities issues.
(3) Asks the Executive Member for Social Services to investigate mainstreaming equalities throughout the Council and the role of the Equalities Unit in achieving this objective.
