NOTES:

1. Inspection of Papers: Any person wishing to inspect Minutes, reports, or a list of the background papers relating to any item on this Agenda should contact Jack Latkovic who is available by telephoning Bath (01225) 394452 or by calling at the Riverside Offices, Keynsham (during normal office hours).

2. Details of Decisions taken at this meeting can be found in the minutes which will be circulated with the agenda for the next meeting. In the meantime details can be obtained by contacting Jack Latkovic as above.

Appendices to reports are available for inspection as follows:-

Public Access points - Guildhall - Bath, Riverside - Keynsham, Hollies - Midsomer Norton, and Bath Central, Keynsham and Midsomer Norton public libraries.

For Councillors and officers papers may be inspected via Political Group Research Assistants and Group Rooms/Members' Libraries. In addition the Political Group Spokespersons receive copies of appendices.

3. Substitutions: Members are reminded that any substitutions must be made in accordance with the relevant Rule set out in the Council's Constitution and notified in writing to Jack Latkovic prior to the commencement of the meeting. Only members of the Licensing Act 2003 Committee may substitute for members of this Sub-Committee.

4. Attendance Register: Members should sign the Register which will be circulated at the meeting.

5. Emergency Evacuation Procedure

When the continuous alarm sounds, you must evacuate the building by one of the designated exits and proceed to the named assembly point. The designated exits are sign-posted.

Arrangements are in place for the safe evacuation of disabled people.

9 OBJECTIONS RECEIVED AGAINST BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET (PUBLIC FOOTPATH BA22/17 BRIDGE FARM, SOUTH STOKE) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2007

For accompanying appendices: Appendix 1, Appendix 2, Appendix 3

The Committee is asked to consider objections received against Bath and North East Somerset (Public Footpath BA22/17 Bridge Farm, South Stoke) Public Path Diversion Order 2007 and to decide whether to abandon the Order or to send it, along with objections not withdrawn, to the Secretary of State (SoS) for determination.

The Committee is asked to send the Order and objections to the SoS for determination, with the recommendation that the Order is confirmed as made.

10 OBJECTIONS TO BATH AND NORTH EAST SOMERSET COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH AQ78 AT CLAVERTON DOWN, BATH) DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER (NO.1 CLAVERTON DOWN) 2006

In January 2005 the Committee considered evidence relating to an alleged public footpath at Claverton Down and decided to make a Definitive Map Modification Order ("the Order") to record the path on the Definitive Map and Statement. Following advertisement of the Order, two objections were received. The Order must now be submitted to the appropriate Secretary of State so that it can be determined independently by an inspector.

The Committee is asked to grant delegated authority to the Assistant Director Environmental Services to recommend to the Secretary of State that Bath and North East Somerset Council (Public Footpath AQ78 at Claverton Down, Bath) Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order (No. 1 Claverton Down) 2006, be confirmed without modifications.

11 DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER TO ADD A PUBLIC FOOTPATH OVER DRANSFIELD WAY BETWEEN CORONATION AVENUE AND IVY AVENUE BATH

This report is submitted to assist Members in determining an application for a Definitive Map Modification Order to be made under section 53 (2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 to modify the Definitive Map and Statement by adding a public footpath over Dransfield Way between Coronation Avenue and Ivy Avenue.

The Committee is asked to grant delegated authority to the Assistant Director Environmental Services to make an Order to modify the Definitive Map and Statement to add the public footpath between Coronation Avenue and Ivy Avenue as shown in the report.

12 UPDATE OF DEFINITIVE MAP ORDER AND PUBLIC PATH ORDER WORK

This report is provided to update Members in the present position regarding Definitive Map Order and Public Path Order work - excluding work on the Bath Definitive Map Project.

The committee is asked to note the current workload and content regarding claims/applications to modify the Definitive Map & Statement, and to create, divert or extinguish public paths.
