Bathampton Meadows CAT Expression of Interest

The National Trust currently manages 500 acres within the City of Bath. The proposal will aim to protect the long-term ownership of Bathampton Meadows by retaining the important green setting of the World Heritage Site of Bath. This will create opportunities for improved access to the cycle path along the canal, open up the site to allow more connectivity and increase the biodiversity and management of the site. The National Trust are looking to obtain the Freehold for the site.
In line with the Council’s Community Asset Transfer Policy, the National Trust have submitted an Expression of Interest setting out the initial proposals for the site. This has been assessed by officers and meets the objectives of the CAT.

To instruct officers to progress to stage 3 of the Community Asset Transfer process which requires the National Trust to submit a Business Plan and associated documentation, prior to a final decision being made.
