Purpose:
The council undertakes to ensure school
buildings are fit for purpose and provide safe secure
environments.
Condition Surveys carried out at Newbridge Primary recommended
planned replacement of the heating system. The project will replace
the life expired heating system with a new energy efficient system.
The new heating system will reduce carbon emissions, help to reduce
the school's energy costs and provide a safe and comfortable
learning environment for the children.
Decision:
To approve capital expenditure of
£280,000 funded from Schools Capital Maintenance Grant
provisionally approved in the 2021-22 budget report to replace the
heating system at Newbridge Primary School.
Alternative options considered:
None. This project is recommended as planned
replacement of the life expired heating system.
