At the November 2018 Council meeting under ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNCIL OR FROM THE
CHIEF EXECUTIVE
In addition to the customary announcements regarding meeting arrangements, the
Chair made the following announcements;
She asked Councillors to note that the Monitoring Officer had agreed a minor
amendment to the job title for the officer delegation for the Joint Spatial Plan
(JSP) (granted at the 9th November 2017 Council meeting) to change from
Strategic Director for Place to ‘Corporate Director’.
The recently published timetable for the Joint Spatial Plan requires the Council to submit Statements on Matters 1 – 6 by 17:00 on 28 May 2019 and the delegated arrangements for any Main Modifications will be engaged when the Corporate Director is on leave.

Corporate Director delegates officer delegation for the Joint Spatial Plan to the Director - Development & Public Protection

Option 1 - Delegation to another Director. Not practical as no other Director has the background information.
Option 2 - Further Delegation arrangements agreed by Council. Not possible in the timescale.
Option 3 -Do not agree any changes. This would not meet the Duty to Cooperate in preparation of the Joint Spatial Plan which is at Examination.
