Project Boards Investigation (2006-2007)
A small task group from the Major Projects External Bodies Overview & Scrutiny Panel undertook a review of the Council's Major Project Boards. The introduction of Project Boards had resulted in a greater distinction between the client and the project, however issues still existed over how decisions or recommendations were progressed from the Project Board. Councillors and officers alike questioned their effectiveness and whether there was a consistent approach being taken across each of the boards and about the wider engagement between these Project Boards and services outside the Development & Major Projects directorate.
