Radstock Road traffic calming required
We the undersigned petition the council to do something about the traffic on Radstock Road (A362) The speed limit is 30 mph, but rarely is a car travelling at that speed, the average is much higher. There is no pedestrian crossing in sight, or any thing to calm traffic. There needs to be sleeping policemen or bumps in the road, rumble stripes, a flashing 30mph sign or some other type of traffic calming equipment. The speed limit could even be dropped to 20 to 25 mph, due to the fact that some residents live directly on the road, without even a pavement, and that there is a primary school on the road as well. If nothing is done soon, somebody may be seriously injured or worse.
I believe this is a very important issue for the local residents, and I know that many want something done to have the speed limit enforced or reduced.
