1 THE ISSUE
1.1 Response to the Planning, Transportation and Sustainability recommendations on the Implementation of Edge of Property Collections
2 RECOMMENDATION
The Executive member is asked to respond to the recommendations made by the panel within six weeks of this report appearing on the Weekly List.
3 FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS
3.1 This meeting was conducted within the budget available to the Panel.
4 THE REPORT
4.1 The Executive Member is asked to respond to the Overview and Scrutiny Panel's recommendations in the attached document.
5 RISK MANAGEMENT
The report author and Executive member have fully reviewed the risk assessment related to the issue and recommendations, in compliance with the Council's decision making risk management guidance.
6 RATIONALE
On June 5th, the Council implemented a new policy to change the way that rubbish is collected from resident's homes throughout the BANES area. After these changes were implemented, there were a significant number of representations made to Councillors about issues that had been encountered as a result of these new arrangements.
The Planning, Transportation and Sustainability Overview and Scrutiny Panel called a Special Meeting and invited members of the public to attend and give their views on their experiences.
