A G E N D A

1. CHAIR(PERSON)

The meeting will be chaired by Councillor Les Kew, Past Chairman of Bath and North East Somerset Council in the absence of the Chair of Council, Councillor Marian McNeir.

2. EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURE

The Chair(person) will draw attention to the emergency evacuation procedure as follows:-

If the continuous alarm sounds, you must evacuate the building by one of the designated exits and proceed to the named assembly point. The designated exits are sign-posted.

Arrangements are in place for the safe evacuation of disabled people.

4. MINUTES: PREVIOUS MEETING: WEDNESDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER 2004

5. LOCAL COMPACT WITH THE VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY SECTOR

Annalise Elliott, Group Manager Community Cohesion Unit will give a presentation on the consultation being undertaken on a Local Compact with the voluntary community sector and how Parishes can be involved.

6. INTERACTIVE WEBSITE FOR PARISHES

Andy Thomas, Corporate Projects Manager will give a presentation on this proposal following on from the discussion at the Local Strategic Partnership.

7. DEVELOPMENT CONTROL PROCEDURES

The Local Councils Group will refer to concerns about enforcement and departmental procedures.

8. 2005/06 BUDGET AND COUNCIL TAX

The Local Councils Group wish to have information from the relevant Executive Members on the latest assessment of the impact of the Council`s major capital funding commitments on ongoing priorities especially road repairs / highway capital expenditure including Lambridge Park and Ride.

The Local Councils Group wish the Joint Working Party on Double Taxation and associated issues to be re-established to take forward the work done in 2004.

9. UPDATES FOR INFORMATION

An update paper on information requested by the Local Councils Group is attached on:

· Parish Sweeper Scheme

· Children`s Play Area Equipment Grants

· Election of Parish Representative and Reserve to Standards Committee

· Training for Parish Councillors on Code of Conduct and other ethical framework issues

10. DATES OF FUTURE MEETINGS

As previously agreed the next Parish Liaison Meetings will be held on Wednesdays at 6.30pm on 8th June and 26th October 2005.
